Kassem: Counter-terrorism Priority Calls for Avoiding Unnecessary Battlefield Casualties

Roads for Life (RFL) President, Zeina Kassem, asserted that the priority objective of fighting terrorism in Lebanon calls for boosting the capacities of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and developing the readiness of its officers and personnel in performing all rescue procedures so as to avoid unnecessary battlefield casualties on all fronts.

Her excellency ambassador Milagros Hernando Echevarria and her team at the Spanish embassy were the driving force behind the project and without their invaluable efforts and follow up the kits would not have been ready in time.

Kassem’s remarks coincided with the delivery of 300 first-aid kits destined for rescuing soldiers and civilians on combat fronts.

During the ceremony, which was attended by Spanish Ambassador Milagros Hernando Echevarria and the Spanish military attaché at the helm of a military delegation, Kassem stressed the insisting need for providing LAF officers and troops with this quality, life-saving kit under the sensitive security circumstances.
Kassem further explained that the kits have been distributed to the LAF combat units based on delicate security and military criteria set by the LAF Command.
