Roads for Life president, Zeina Kassem, visits “Hôpitaux Universitaires Henri-Mondor” and signs “La Traversée” in “Office du Tourisme” – France

22 March 2016

Roads for Life president, Zeina Kassem, held a visit meeting to H.E. Mr. Ghadi Khoury Chargé D’affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Paris.

The meeting introduced Roads for Life to trauma chiefs in Paris.

Kassem met in “Hôpitaux Universitaires Henri-Mondor” in Créteil, France, with Professor Hassan Hosseiny, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neuroradiology, MD, PhD.

Kassem discussed with Pr. Hosseiny trauma approaches and techniques available in France.

Pr. Hosseiny briefed Zeina and Amer Kassem along with Roni Alpha, Roads for Life Secretary General, about a recent study depicting the number of neuro-vascular trauma victims in Lebanon. The study’s result was the count of 10,000 neurovascular trauma cases per year, even with Lebanon’s advancement in the trauma field. The study also exposed the necessity of a solid and durable system to reduce the number of trauma victims.

This system will need the cooperation of all trauma stakeholders in Lebanon as well as specialized medical acts in all hospitals.

On another hand, following an invitation from the publisher Tamyras and “Office du Tourisme” in Paris, Kassem signed her book “La Traversée” at the premises of “Office du Tourisme” in the presence of its director Mr. Serge Akl and under the auspices of H.E. Mr. Ghadi Khoury.

The event was a chance to all Lebanese and French readers to know more about Roads for Life’s mission and vision.
