Roads for Life organized an extended women’s gathering, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, in the Sursock Museum Restaurant in Beirut on Saturday the 5th of March 2016, to honor all women and institutions that supported Roads for Life throughout the years.

Were present the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon H.E. Sigrid Kaag, the Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, H.E. Milagros Hernando Echevarria, the Netherlands Ambassador to Lebanon H.E. Hester Somsen, the Uruguayan Ambassador to Lebanon, H.E. Marta Inés Pizzanelli, H.E. Mrs. Leila El Solh Hamade, H.E. Mrs. Nayla Mouawad and an elite group of women from various sectors.

During the event, the singer Abeer Nehme has been appointed as Roads for Life’s new ambassador and Mrs. Maha Shair as Roads for Life’s Sports Ambassador in addition to the appointment of artist Adel Karam as honorary ambassador in recognition for his efforts over the past three years.
