Three Lebanese Red Cross(LRC) teams comprising eleven EMS Volunteers took part in the 6th edition of the Aphrodite Rally, an international paramedic competition organized in Famagusta (Cyprus) between September 27 and 29, 2017.

 
Roads for Life (RFL) and BLC Bank sponsored “Team Lebanon” at the event, which comprised 26 EMS teams from Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Estonia, UK and Lebanon.
 

RFL President, Zeina Kassem, attended the closing ceremony held in Ayia Napa in the presence of Cyprus’s Health Minister George Pamboridis. She stressed RFL’s commitment since 2013, providing LRC EMS teams with the Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course that is recognized around the world as the leading program for prehospital emergency trauma care . The association has so far enabled more than 550 EMS volunteers to take part in training programs covering trauma rescue techniques in partnership with BLC Bank.
